Grandpa Walter believed every day on the farm was a chance to get the job done and take pride in the work. Tending the crops. Teaching the grandkids to fish in the pond. Watching the sun go down with a bowl of homemade ice cream in his hand.
What he actually taught them was that the simple things are usually the sweetest ones. Dusty and Kathy grew up on those values, and when the time came to build The Patch, they knew it needed a heart — a storyteller, a guide, a friendly face at the gate.
And so Walter the Steer was born.
