The season

A full day in the pumpkin field, the corn maze and the barnyard

This is the one. Fall at The Patch is our biggest, most beloved season — ten years running and still the reason families mark their calendars in September. Wind through the corn maze, launch an apple clear across the pasture, ride the hay wagon out to the pumpkins, and fuel up on cider donuts that come out of the fryer all day long.

The questions we get most

Read the full FAQ

Do we need to buy tickets in advance?

Yes. Every ticket carries a waiver that has to be signed, so tickets are bought online whether you do it at home or on your phone at the gate. Doing it before you set off means you walk straight in.

What is included with admission at The Patch?

Nearly everything. One admission covers ice skating, including skate rental, on our synthetic rink — open in every season, not just winter. It also covers the corn mazes, the hay wagon ride, the barrel train, the jumping pillows, the giant slide, the low ropes course, straw mountain, the corn cribs, mini golf, games, photo opportunities and the Farm Friends barnyard.

The only things that cost extra are the ones you use or take home: paintball ammo, apple cannon apples, pumpkins, cow cuddling with Merida, Euro Bungy, and food.

Where is The Patch and how far is it from Denver?

The Patch is at 7400 SH-86, Kiowa, Colorado 80117 — a short country drive south-east of Denver and north-east of Colorado Springs, roughly an hour from either.

Parking is free, on pasture grass at the south end of the property.

Directions and map

Is The Patch open year-round?

No. The Patch opens for four separate seasonal events throughout the year, and we are closed between seasons.

Fall Festival runs September 19 to October 31, 2026, Saturdays and Sundays plus October 15 and 16. Christmas at The Patch runs Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from November 27 to December 27, 2026, closed on Christmas Day. Bunny Trails & Cow Tails is March 20, 21 and 27, 2027. Summer Nights is Saturdays from June 5 to July 31, 2027.

So there is a reason to come back through the year, but always check the season you are planning for.

Can we pick pumpkins?

Yes — picking is part of the day during the Fall Festival. Because of the range of pumpkins we grow, taking one home is a small additional charge, priced by size on your way out.

Is anything at The Patch scary or haunted?

No. There are no haunted attractions, no jump scares and no actors chasing anybody. The Patch is built for families with young children and for grandparents, and everything here is meant to be enjoyed by both on the same afternoon.
